Russell Preston was born and raised in Santa Clara, California. He’s an undergraduate at CSU Sacramento as a journalism major and known to be a pretty big Giants fan. So, in order to spread my love for the team, I decided to create this blog for everyone to enjoy in May 2010. As of February 2013, it has grown to a Bay Area baseball blog of all professional levels.
Russell is also known as a stat junkie – crunching numbers is just one of the ways he can tell a baseball story. Fantasy sports is a topic he loves to talk about.
On top of writing for this site, Russell is also the Sports Print Editor for the Sacramento State student-run State Hornet newspaper.
Joe Davis - Writer @FamousJoe530
Joe is a born and raised A’s fan, and is currently the Campus Print Editor at Sacramento State’s State Hornet newspaper. He and Russell don’t agree on much, but the love for baseball is a common denominator (stat reference…).
Also a 49er fan and a Sacramento Kings fan, Joe enjoys a wide variety of Bay Area sports. His specialty on this blog will be the Oakland A’s organization and all news revolving them.
Ryan Kuhn – Writer @RSKuhn
Ryan is a minor league baseball Guru. Growing up in Southern California as a massive Angels fan, Joe and Russell have shunned him from coverening any dumb Los Angeles or Anaheim team. So, NorCal minors are his next specialty.
Ryan covers the Stockton Ports and Sacramento River Cats (A’s single and triple-A affiliates) as well as the San Jose Giants and the Fresno Grizzlies (Giants single and triple-A affiliates).
